our beginnings...
The Save Erskine College Trust Inc (SECT) is a community based non-profit organisation created to protect a unique place in a suburb of Wellington, Aotearoa.
SECT was established in the early 1990's as the result of people coming together in a public meeting concerned with the future of a special site in Island Bay - Erskine College.
Since then the Trust has responsibility for a heritage order, which was created to protect and retain the value of the site for the community long term.
